Remember when we were young and life was just fun all the time? The days were filled with adventure and new discoveries. We’d laugh crazy hard at the silliest jokes and race our bikes around the neighborhood with no worries. Every morning we’d wake up hyped to dive into a new day. But then we got older and everything changed. Life started feeling more scary than fun. Instead of getting pumped for adventure, we’d wake up stressed about responsibilities. Growing up means more pressures – school, jobs, bills, families relying on you. I love my life today, but really miss those carefree childhood days. Lately I realized it’s time to bring back that old-school joy! It’s okay to let your inner child come out to play sometimes! Doing activities, we enjoyed as kids sparks that feeling again. Like for me, hitting up Burger King as a surprise treat, friends coming by to play, or making a spaceship from a cardboard box. Revisiting those things makes me feel alive! Other throwbacks could be reading comics, Saturday morning cartoons, or playing Monopoly. Of course, we have adult duties now. But adding playtime and wonder helps us push through when life feels heavy. Don’t let adulthood kill your spark completely. Make time for childhood favorites that lit you up. Climb trees, belt out carols, laugh at dumb knock-knock jokes. Let your inner child breathe! Reviving that nostalgic joy can brighten your today.
