Maybe it’s obvious for a lot of people, but it wasn’t for me. Ironically, I noticed that I was a lot more productive AFTER I became more intentional about relaxing and taking my downtime. Right now, I’m chillin’ on the sofa, listening to music, and thumbing through a new book. For a brief second, I was like, “Man, I should be using this time more productively” But then I realized, I had a long day and need to veg. I took the break and appreciated that I’m able to enjoy it without feeling guilty for not being productive. TAKE your downtime as seriously as you do your working hours, so that you’re rested and ready to jump on the next task, instead of burning yourself out.
