One of the biggest flips that you can make in order build resilience, is to stop thinking about difficulty as a problem and start thinking about it as an opportunity. Instead of asking “Why is this happening to me?” ask yourself “What can I learn out of this?” Reframing the question distracts you from the frustration of the situation, and makes you start focusing on how you can grow from the situation is more productive use of your time than getting stuck in self-pity.
