Change how you perceive people and reach out to friends and family. Talk to as many people as you can. Start SMALL conversations. Even a short phone call with a loved one can help you feel a bit more connected. Share something about yourself, and open up. If part of your routine is stopping at Starbucks, instead of saying hi and placing your order, start a SMALL conversation by asking, “How’s your day going?” This can be a start that introduces you to a new friend. Talk to people you wouldn’t normally talk to. Every micro moment of connection helps.
